I have a fifth wheel that I plan on replacing all the tires. I rode on Maxxis for a few years (4) but did not have much luck with the two flats in two years. I am thinking of installing ST235/80R16-10ply, Goodyear Endurance. Does anyone have any experience with the Endurance ?

We ran a set of XPS Ribs for slighty more than 10 years, and just replaced them with the same. No flats or uneven wear of any kind.

I have the Endurance tires on my little camper with only a few hundred miles on them but so far I like them, trailer pulls nice and tracks well.

I believe a steel belted tire would likely do more damage to the RV than a nylon belted tire, IF one of the tires blows out at highway speed.

It rides better because of softer sidewalls which also flex more when turning. Certainly not my choice, don't think I'd want to take the chance of the tire rolling off the rim in a tight turn situation.

I agree, was happy with xps ribs till they timed out. Replaced the with the 250s and can't tell the difference.

Just put 4 new Sailuns on my Montana. They are one brute of a tire. I'm feeling very comfortable leaving in August for an 8 month around NA trip that my tires will hold up. Bought a TPMS just in case though.

I did not want to say anything negative about maxis. That served me well over the years. Yes I hand 2 flats, one I hit something in the road and the other? I check the air psi as well as the tires before and after stops.

I put Goodyear Endurance tires on my Cougar 32RLK 5th wheel about 600 miles ago. Not a ton of miles yet as we only camp about once a month at the coast. That being said I have never had to add air to them since install. They are a well built tire. I have towed in the rain to 100 plus degrees and not had any issues. I think they are a great tire and the trailer tows great with them on. I check tire pressure every time before I pull and it has been good every time.

I'll be watching those tires. I plan on upgrading tires next spring and those look like a viable option.

Just shy of four years one of my Maxxis is losing the tread as the belts seem to have come apart.
Four new Goodyear Endurance are going on tomorrow.

My brother just bought 2 goodyear endurance in a 225/75/15. Made in usa and was impressed on the load range for a 15in. tire.They look good. Only time will tell now.

Looking at GDR website shows a 29 RS with a 10995 gvwr. This unit may come with 5200 lb axles or maybe 6k axles.
As mentioned the best tire for that size trailer would be a commercial grade all steel ply tire like the Bridgestone R-250 or the higher cost Michelin XPS Ribs in a ;
...LT235/85-16 E at 3042 lbs capacity @ 31.8" diameter..
...LT245/75-16 E at 3042 lbs capacity @ 30.7" diameter.
Both sizes work great on 16" trailer wheels. Use the diameter that best fits under the wheel wells (clearance).

The Sailun S637 is a load G tire at 4040-4400 lb capacity/110 psi and is simply too much tire for a trailer that size.

Or take a shot at one of the new gen high speed rated ST tires.

I have a 11200 lb 5er with 5200lb axles/ 16" wheels. I would go with a quality 16" LT E poly carcass tire or R-250/XPS Rib tire and not worry for 7-10 years and 50k-60k miles.

I've used Maxxis for 5 yrs on two different RV's with no issues whatsoever after a collective 15,000+ miles.
