Listen... I am in Richmond... 95 is complete CLUSTER downtown (Bridge Construction is closing lanes randomly)... go around on either 295 (if you are going stay on 95 up to the NorthEast)... or as in another topic... take a left at Petersburg or South Richmond and go out 64 to 81 North... then come across southern VT and NH to Maine. I am from Boston, but got deported to Richmond 5 yrs ago, we do this run 3 or 4 times a year and always take the western route.. it add about 90 miles, but takes about the same or less. Traffic in DC, Philly, NY, Hartford... can delay 3 or even 4 hours!! (and cause that little vein on the side of your head to pop out!)
.
Good luck,
Mal

I run at 70 if the speed limit is 70. Higher, if the speed limit is higher. I win't live forever and I want to spend more time parked than I do driving, especially over roads that I have driven on many times. The fuel mileage difference is not enough to bother me, so higher speed, and getting to my destination sooner, is my sweet spot. ๐

As for the MPG, it all depends on your engine rpm, gear setup in the tranny, and in the rear end.
