Clean Glass

I have been washing our vehicles for over 55 years and I have yet found a product that cleans the glass. I generally use the standard Windex and paper towels and in the shade the glass looks good but take it out in the sun and the glass has streaks and smudges and generally a mess this goes for the moterhome, the boats and the cars and truck. So what do you guys use to get perfect window glass?

you might try #0000- steel wool first. it does a nice job on those little hard things. but only use 0000style wool. it won't scratch

After a good washing and rensing (I use Zymol car wash and wax)I clean all windows with Rainx (follow directions), does not streak and water beeds off. The unit still looks new. Both products can be purchased at any Wal-Mart.

The use of newspaper was due to the alcohol based inks they used. Now most have switched to water based inks which is why some CAN transfer the ink color.

If you know how to tell the difference between a sheet fed or web printed newspaper you can still find ones that use the alcohol based inks.

After you have cleaned the dirt and bugs off, go over it real good with 0000 steel wool. This will get nearly all the tiny grit and water spots off then follow it up with a good glass cleaner and newspaper. Maybe it is the ink on the newspaper that makes it do such a good job of putting a good finish on the glass.

I've had good luck with Invisible Glass and clean newsprint paper (not old newspapers). The newspapers work but on the inside the ink can transfer to light colored headliners and visors. A number of packages I receive have used clean newsprint as packing paper. I smooth it out, roll it up and keep in a cabinet in s&b garage. Works well, but may give the Sprayway a try.

1/4 to 1/3 rubbing alcohol and the rest water. Works good for us with a microfiber towel.

Best thing I have ever found that works is apple cider vinegar and water. We have well water and it spots terrible. Water and vinegar leavers them spotless and streak free. Takes the bugs off real nice as well.

I have used armor all glass cleaner for a long time and use it with newspapers and it's the best I have ever found and I've tried a lot when I first started driving many years ago.

I've tried many over the years, don't like windex.

SprayWay is the best I found, get it at Walmart

I've tried them all too.

I stopped to pick up some Armorall to do my dash on the MH and all the store had was this 3 pack which included a glass cleaner. Sure didn't need all that junk but wanted the Armorall cleaner so I just bought the 3-pack to be done with it.

Soooo, purely by chance I found these glass wipes to be nothing short of a "miracle". They are all I use now. Convenient to use and IMHO nothing cleans glass like these wipes can. Including dead bug juice!!
