Less and Less Posts

Is it just me? Over the last year there seems to be a lot less posts. I used to see 10 to 14 or more pages, now it seems like 5 or 6 is a lot.
I don't do a lot of posts myself but I do read them and will put in an answer or advice if I it is something I know about. just curious to see if others see the change.

Yea, blame it on the Moderators. I have seen several of your posts complaining about the moderation here, and It seems you have just stayed on so you can complain about it!
It is true, some of the old members did leave because of the Moderators, their trolling/flamming posts were no longer being tolerated.
The members who follow the rules seem to have no problems.

Please re read this sentence from my previous post: "I am NOT saying this is the only cause, but could be a factor when combined with the winter slow down" Guess you missed that.

If you check my 1692 posts you will find only a few about moderators. I only ask for consistency and clear cut rules, with moderation, both of which seem to be different each day. I am not the only member that has brought this problem up.

I stay around because I am an optimist and hope things will improve. I

And i appreciated the advice. I don't understand the harsh attitude though. I am sorry that i didn't reply quickly we were pretty busy and i was typing on my phone...for me kind of difficult. We are now parkedwhere we're camped

I recall Suzzeee's thread.
Seems there were a lot of people trying to help.

Maybe I'm getting the username wrong, but was SuzzeeeQ2012 that idiot who kept posting non-sensical posts like:

"What's the best floor plan if you eat outside alot?

"When you're staying at a national park, which RV window has the best view?"
that was monkeymom or something like that. She made things interesting for awhile.

don't blame the mods, here or on rvpr.com, thank them for maintaining civility. Occasionally even those of us who try our best to watch our manners can get off track, resulting in deletion or closure. I learn from it, not blame others for it.
If that means there are less posts, so be it, as the quality of them is proportional to the knowledge of the folks making them.

Shure there are other things at play, But I think one that has grown a lot in the past six months is the negativity on here. I get tired of seeing some poor person ask a question in an odd or non-technical way, only to be pounced on by someone who seems to enjoy belittling them.. The moderators on here need to put their foot down and change this before this fine site fades away...

Things get a bit frustrating when you are either posting valuable information or following a thread to extract valuable information and you find the thread missing. No reason, no explanation, no thread closed to FURTHER posts...just missing; along with the valuable information it concerned.

It's happened too many times to be classed as an infrequent occurrence for me, and is one of the reasons I've been using other forums more frequently and this one a lot less.

Actually he is correct. Many have left because of over moderating. Not by all Mods of course. You have never seen a post of mine complain about it. But that don't mean I'm blind. I have wondered what happened to some of the innocent posts that disappeared though.
This is the least amount of pages I have seem since 2004. Christmas also has some to do with it. Even on Popup Explorer the number is way down. The only forum I have seen that really has a lot of posts going is IRV2. They have 9 pages just yesterday, and today. 15+ pages going since the 24th.

Over moderation is a key component of the fade in posts. I have cut back too. The wannabe moderator kid has no idea the creativity we can employ. Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.

Maybe some don't have the free time to get on here like I do.....And the younger ones. I have 6---Oldest has retired at the ripe old age of 42. 2 is divorced good job, single mom, life is her daughter. 3 don't have much motivation and lives hand to mouth. 4 Married own a wholesale produce co and although doing well have 8 children. 5 never married, just sold her 1st company and started another and 6 Is a defense contractor. Those last 2 never miss a chance to have fun but life is to slow for them to RV + maybe they got enough of it growing up. So I have 3 that could afford to RV if they chose but aren't interested---besides if they want to go Dads DP is always free........And it seems lots of people are obsessed with Face Book.
