We need 'em. Do any of you do online purchases? The last set I bought for the car were from Discount Tire Direct and it went off fine. I'm wondering if I should try it again, or Walmart, or Les Schwab/Big O/Discount.

Just looking for some other folks' experiences.

I have a 95 Dodge Diesel that has 16 inch. I went to C&S tire center in Waynesburg,Pa. and bought 6 Michelins 10 ply with metal valve stems for $1450 out the door. Tax included. Maybe this will give you someone what to go buy. Try to beat that price. That include balance also. I check the Dot to see how old they were also. Do check that.
We don't travel as much as we use to. I guess we are getting old.I want to go out west one more time.

We have a local tire chain here called Raleigh Tire with 5 branches. I bought from them.

I recommend going to Les Schwab (there's one in Denver). Last year, after much research I ended up going to Les Schwab and putting on Toyos. Very comparable to Michelin with steel sidewalls and the works plus $100 less per tire. They put 6 on in 1 hour. I couldn't be happier.

The best part is that Les Schwab is everywhere on the West Coast and will service your tires wherever you are. I had a puncture in Reno last summer (just 3 months after the new tires). There was a Les Schwab within a mile of where I was. They replaced the tire at no cost and I was back on the road. I made a video about the experience.

Discount Tire, Have always had good service and they have let me show them how to put on hub cap bolts so they don't strip the threads.

There balancing machines are great and I have never had to take my Motor home back and have tires rebalanced.

Fletchers Tire is a local chain with a number of shops throughout Arizona and I think new Mexico (?). I have used them exclusively over the last 9 years for all of my auto maintenance and tire needs (shocks, brakes, fluid changes and of course tires). They have always treated me well and beaten every other company on price and service by a wide margin, hence my loyalty.

If you are in Arizona you cannot do better and that includes "Discount {what a joke - yes you paid way too much} Tire", as they are not even close. My only problem with Fletcher is that they are only in this area and I travel coast to coast. Since I only run Michelin's service is available everywhere, I just wish Fletcher's was too.

Several months ago as a new customer to Big O here in Mesa I bought four tires for the F-350. While they were being mounted the salesman showed me a swab with soot on the cotton end that he said came from the dirty throttle body and they could service it for me...... I told him, "my truck is a diesel".... He just walked away. I won't be going back to Big O anytime soon. I saw some of the "diagnostic" swabs lying around and they all had "soot" on them. That's probably how they're furnished to the stores.. The genius who thought up that sales rip-off should be unemployed.
