My ACER converted with no problems when W10 came out. Slowly over time with all the updates it clogged up so bad it could not be fixed. I turned it into a LINUX box and bought a new PC running the latest W10.
Your old PC could be 32 bit and never had a chance.

might check yours for this problem not sure when this block was issued.
