My recommendation and the one I'm going to try is Chrome Cast if the unit has both a USB and HDMI port.. (I saw HDMI but no USB so you'd have to have a power supply for the chrome case unit, Those are easy to get,, Standard phone charger type should work).

if with in reach
the HDMI cable is the simplest way
PC OFF, TV Off, plug in cable
turn on TV ONLY, select correct Correct hdmi port
turn on PC
control panel, select display,
from list select project to second screen
from that choose "duplicate"
TV must be on before PC, so PC can detect TV on hdmi port
Can I use this approach to record music from my Dish music channels to my Laptop' CD recorder?
Thanks,

What do you want to broadcast?
Screen or just a file (mp4, avi, mkv etc)?
If the later Plex media server and smart tv or roku would work. Some DVD / Blue ray players have DLNA capabilities.
If the former connect via HDMI. You might be able to use a dongle with some mirroring software.
