My seven year old garmin bit the dust while here in Montana. Which of the following would be the best choice, I'm excluding RM products, Garmin 560LMT (truckers model with options for size, wt. etc) or 2757 LM or 2797 LMT? Thanks in advance.

I found the Female voice annoying and hard to hear so I went Here and downloaded some others and picked the one I liked.

I don't know what model of our first Garmin was but we have a 2555LMT and we haven't had any problems with that one either. The DW said she didn't think we needed the bigger screen but has since changed her mind. It has the 5" screen and split screen showing interchanges and multiple lane splits and the audible is great. The directions are great and even though it only has a female voice, we're very happy. I like the computer, mostly useless info but it is interesting to see how much delay time you experience each day.

We're not fond of the setting for secondary or non interstate roads, now that we know it's a pain and will direct us off onto city streets when passing through a small town we plan ahead.

Biggest thing for us is the 5" screen.

I bought the Garmin 760 which you can get with a Garmin wireless B-20 backup camera for $500 from Amazon. Backup camera works plenty good enough and the Garmin screen works for both GPS and guidance and as a monitor for the camera.

X3 on the RV760. Used it on our 7,000 mile trip west this Spring. Really like the lane guidance (both visual on the screen and voice instructions such as "be in one of the two left lanes"). Very helpful in Interstate traffic when passing through cities. Our old Garmin didn't have this feature. Voice instructions were better in general compared with the old unit.
