stay with SD; HD is just not worth all the hassle of changing antenna, changing recvr's & added complexity. HD doesn't change the news or the outcome of your favorite game, the idiots on the network look the same, its just TV.

Although my RV is a 2014 it wasn't wired with the extra wire that Traveler needs. I currently only use one receiver, but DW wants a DVR. I should be able to do that with either DirecTV or Dish, but Dish would give me HD.
With DirecTV's SWM (single wire multiswitch) system these days you only need a single coax running from your satellite antenna to your receiver. So your RV will already have what you need in order to run a DVR. We have a Genie HR44 with 5 tuners, all running off of one coax from the dish to the receiver/DVR.

Do you use a DVR or more than one receiver? If you don't, would you like to? If it were me (and it's not!) I would keep DTV and dump the dome for a Trav'ler. If you don't mind no DVR and only one receiver (and the other dome issues) then you will get excellent HD with Dish and a dome.
