We have never come across anything like that. Usually, parks are worried about how old your coach is, not the height of your flag pole.

I always do when I'm out and never have seen any rules against it.

A normal sized American flag shouldn't bother anyone. A huge flag snapping relentlessly in the wind is an annoyance to others, and it doesn't matter what it represents. As they say, your rights end at my door, and the noise a large flag makes is just as annoying to me as my playing the bagpipe and Kazoo version of the Star Spangled Banner at 130 decibels all night long would be to you.
I have seen some tall flag poles at parks that I sure wouldn't want my rig parked next to because if the noise didn't get me the Rube Goldberg contraptions they used to hold it in place might. And finally, some people don't stop at the American Flag. I have seen plenty of flags that are obviously offensive to certain ethnic groups, and though those people flying the flags would say they are just honoring their southern heritage, we all really know what they are really attempting to convey.

if memory serves it was an RV resort out in Cali, that had a reg regarding how high they can fly, because of that we will never stay there.
Just wondering (not critiquing)-why it's important to fly high?
