I don't think dry camping without hookups for your first time out is a terrible idea. When we got our new rig (our 2nd one), our first two trips had electrical hookups. On Trip 3, We discovered that the front AC didn't work properly on generator power until Day 1 of a week long dry camping trip over the 4th of July with 90 degree weather. It worked fine when hooked up to shore power., We were out in the middle of nowhere with no phone service so we just suffered through it. Not fun though.
Also, we learned that the process for dumping was different with our new rig than our old one, and that the factory had mislabeled the black and grey valves while at the dump station the first time. So be sure you test that out too ๐

^ If you bought it used from a used trailer shop (or even if bought new) I might suggest just titling and registering it yourself.
Dealers doing title and reg is just another service they are charging for but nothing says you can't do that yourself.
If bought on consignment they may not have the title in hand to sign over to him.

if this is your first trip in your first RV, it is silly IMHO to not get full hookups and see that everything is working right.
bumpy
I couldn't get a nearby reservation with hookups so I will have to "fast cruise" in the driveway as well
Fishermens memorial state park has full hookups available for this weekend. Go to this link and select "spots with" and put in 30A electrical, water, sewer, and then select starting date and length of stay. Best part is, $20/night, way cheaper than commercial parks ๐

Try not to stress over the mistakes and problems. Anyone who hasn't experienced both, has never been rv'ing!
