10 days until our first trip of 2014!!

And there's still a 2 foot tall snow bank on either side of our driveway and in the yard. No chance of getting the TT home to do any type of spring cleaning or loading up for the trip. I'd like to imagine a quick thaw, but today it was 22 degrees.

Not sure how/when/if we are going to dewinterize, but we are determined to get out of this ridiculous winter (or non-existent spring) and get to the Smokies. Thinking of checking the furnace/fridge in storage and just loading up from the car.

Happy camping to all those with several feet of snow in the drive!

We've got a trip planned over Easter weekend to Pymatuning Oh. As of right now I could get the MH out the driveway because the ground is still froze hard, but it will thaw between now and then. The question is will it thaw completely and then dry out enough to not bury the axles in the mud????

We're going on a cruise next month to Jamaica and the Caymans. Looks like the MH gets another month in the garage.

Hey, we are leaving in about the same amount of time for our trip south to Death Valley and some way out in the middle of nowhere spots in western Nevada (The Sump, Lunar Crater, Black Rock Desert) and eastern Oregon (Summer Lake and Hart Mountain.) Weather permitting. No reservations, no precise itinerary. Just explore for 3 weeks.

Our weather has been wonderful in the last few weeks. Lots of rain (BIG mudslide 50 miles south of us) but sunny and 50s today, 30s tonight. Hummingbirds have returned and are ravenous.

Not to rub it in but that is a definite advantage of living in the South. Good luck of breaking out and have a good trip
