Im have a bit of compulsive disorder and like to keep things clean. So before we roll out its waxed and polished every time. Even though nobody really cares how dirty their lp tanks are; I do. Im having a heck of a time trying to keep it clean as the tank itself is exposed to the undercarriage of the rig. If anyone out there have any pointers to keep it clean or product recommendation to get all the road grime off I'd be happy to hear about them.

The OP has a 'B' van conversion according to his profile. I'd guess it has a smaller ASME frame mounted horizontal tank, but I could be wrong.

I do not notice the tank on my class A being that dirty.. But I can see where a trailer tank might have an issue.

I'd wash and wax.. Just like you do the rest of the rig.. Wash to remove the dirt, and wax to help new dirt just sort of slide off as you bounce down the highway.

Nope, still not sure. If the original poster has a TT, covers are available and inexpensive. If this thread is talking about motorhomes, I don't know about them, but would be surprised if covers are not available.

To the original poster, try to remember to post what rig you are talking about to get more accurate answers.

If I was that worried abut the tank on our coach, I would have it coated with bedliner, at least on the bottom.
But, I'm not all that worried about it.

Talk to this guy. Aparently, he has his wife wax his LP tanks - and his toilet.

Nothing wrong with keeping things clean. I do mine once a year on the trailer even though they are covered.

Maybe in the same area not sure. When I had a MH I was concerned about the road dirt and rock chips on the tank. The place where I got the tank refilled told me if I were to mask off the bottom have of the tank all around. Spray the bottom half of the tank with spray undercoating, it would not only mask the chips but help prevent any further rock damage.
