Best grill for RVing?

I have seen just a few comments on the use of grills while camping. I currently use a smokey joe, but with the wind at the beach it is a pain sometimes to start. Thinking of going to a gas grill but I don't know much about them. Any suggestions. Something more or less compact, not a full size one.

X2- weber Q 220 isthe best grill I have owned. And it wont rust out in a few years like the others.

I've got a 9 year old Weber Q (full size) that's still purring like a kitten. Haven't done a thing to it except clean it once in a while.

The Qs fall into two categories; the full size 200 series, and the "baby" Q, 100 series. We love our full size Q but be aware that it is HEAVY compared to some grills. Built like a tank. Some like the baby Q better because you have a better chance of stowing it in a side bin, but I like the versatility of the full size Q in case we're cooking for several people, which we often do. Whichever one you buy, also get the rolling Weber cart made for the Q. Same cart fits the full size and baby. You'll appreciate the cart for sure.

Like the member posted above, we bought an Extend A Flow kit and run the Q off our trailer tanks. Some folks run 'em off the 20 lb bbq tanks.

I have a q200, family of 6, works great. Can't make much more than you need for one meal, but its comfortably fed us without issue. I'll bring a few of the typical camping lantern size bottles, but also have a distribution tree and hose for it from a bigger tank depending on if I'm using it for an afternoon at the creek or on the road towing and cooking lunch out of the back of the truck while the kids play at the park.

best grill I've ever owned.

I have been looking at the q120 vs the q 220. DW is concerned the q120 might not be large enough. We want to make sure the surface is large enough to have a couple of neighbors over, but I don't need overkill or the extra storage space if it is not necessary.
You would not believe how many people you can cook for on the Weber Q. I was a charcoal afixionado before buying what I thought was a over priced gas grill for RVing. Now I only use the little Weber Baby Q both on the road, and at home. Have cooked for 15 on that little grill!! It can be done. I have a 8' hose attached to a 11 pound tank. Puts out great strip steaks!

can do either. I use the regular bottles on mine. Had to remove the small bottle bracket is all. The 200 is nice but too big for my needs.

We have 2 gas grills for camping. A Coleman Roadtrip, plus a small kettle type for when it's just the 2 of us. While in Fl. this winter we purchased a small kettle type charcaol grill. Steaks taste so much better cooked on a charcoal grill. It can be a problem as you stated when the wind is high. I had good luck by using the match light with a paper towel rolled up to get it started. Made a very hot cooker.

Thanks for the Weber Q120 suggestion. After a quick review there are nothing but positive comments that I see.
