Big Time RV! on Travel Channel

Lazy Daze is behind "Big Time RV!" on Travel Channel tonight. I had my hopes up.

What an insult to the average RV'er, IMHO. Words escape me as to what a disaster this program is. Worse than the RV 2014/2013/2012... with the hostess than has never previously seen an RV.

Same with auto and motorcycle reality shows. I just watch so I can laugh at the miss info, mistakes and BS.

So where does this person camp and dump his tanks. Same place as the rest of us. Wait a minute, that's not totally true. After a few casino's RV parks, and an executive park or two they stop camping all together.

Think about how many of those rigs you ever see out there. After 40,000 miles and six years of six month part-timing I can count them on only one hand.

One stupid show, all actors. Had to turn it off because it really was not a family friendly content believe it or not. The two creepy guys looking for a luxury coach and all the references to sex in the bedroom and alcohol consumption was really pathetic. The salesman's quote, "I hear you don't do much sleeping in the bedroom" was really gross.

I have been off grid for the past few months in the Canadian North & Alaska so cable TV has been less than a minimum.

Looks like I have not missed anything. SSDD on TV. When will somebody come up with something original? When will reality TV do something real? Every one of them has the same plot. BORING!

X2. Just entertainment, as I expected by the title.

Non-RV types like the innovations and the
'toy' features they show on these type shows. Nothing to do with real world. Outlandish prices are part of the 'wow' factor the show uses to impress the (again) 'non-RVers'. Doubt I would even consider an Lazy Days coach simply because of the number of customers they have and the units they sell. Doubt the service after the sale is close to the pressure before the sale. As I said, this is a TV show and I am betting if you want to talk turkey on a real sale/deal the prices get a whole lot better.

What I noticed was that not one of the buyers asked or got a discount off the retail price. They must be fishing for newbies.

I'd hate to think that the poor guy and his daughter actually paid $27,000 for the Z1 stick-n-tin. That unit can be bought at a dozen places in the country for less than $20K brand new and that's not including an Indiana wholesaler that will know 40% off. As I said before, I think these were all actors and no one really bought anything on the show as it was portrayed.

X2 on what other posters said. A looong advertisement for Lazy Days. The real estate couple that came in with a budget of $400,000 but bought a $600,000 MH was a bad representation of women. Her begging him to buy it like a spoiled child and the requirements the MH had to have for the dog, Yuck.

The thing that got me were the prices. $27,000 for a 25ish foot trailer??? and the motor homes were even worse. If anything this show might get more people to stay away from buying then getting people to buy.

Boy, sure glad I never heard of this one, doesn't sound like I missed anything.
I have to agree with the other folks that miss Stew & RV Today, sadly I doubt we'll ever see another RV show like it. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Yea, watched it last night and about 15 min into the show realized it was an ad for Lazy Dazes. The RV's were nice, but nothing else was worth watching.
