good Sam VS AARP.

So which do you think would serve you better if you were old enough to use one, or both. Good Sam is good for "some" CGs, and AARP is good for "some" CGs. But AARP is good for some motels. So just wondering which y'all would prefer.

AARP was a HUGE supporter of Obamacare, apparently thinking they would get more $$ somehow. Since the bulk of the people eligible for AARP are also already on MediCare, IMHO it was an EVIL bargain with the devil with no guarantee of benefit. WAS an AARP member, no longer recommend them for diddly!

The same day AARP announced their support for Obamacare I called them and said "cancel my membership right now". They reminded me I had 2 more years on my membership. I responded with a repeat of my first comment. No longer a member and never will be.

In regards AARP discounts. I found I could get better deals on hotels and car rentals thru other means which did not cost me a membership. Not worth it in my opinion. In regards to Good Sam, was given a free membership when I bought trailer and have only used it when buying some things at CW. You can usually find better prices elsewhere.

We use AARP and will continue to use them over Sams club. We find we get lots more bang for the bucks than GS offers.

Lately I've found more parks that give a veterans discount. I have found a few that give veteran discounts. Our president has signed a bill that lets service connect disable veterans to use commissary, exchange and recreation facilities.

^^^This.^^^

And a big +1 on AAA- they are better than most from what I have found. And don't forget vet/first responder discounts that many give. You just gotta ask.

Passport America is good for a couple of days here that there- depends on how you travel. We get our annual cost back and more in a single trip.

Don't forget AAA. Lots of places also give discounts if you are a member.

we belong to Good Sam (although we donโ€™t do many 1-night stays these days) as well as KOA and AAA. on the very rare occasion we stay in a hotel the AAA card provides a discount. the typical CG/RV Park will provide a better discount for weekly and monthly stays.

From the day I turned 50 the AARP mail started. Politely asked in return mail several times to quit sending me their junk. Did not work, mail kept coming.

Well I did a lot of Medical clinics where I removed sheet lead. I filled the postage paid envelope and asked again to please stop.

Guess when it cost them a bunch of money they got the hint!
