It felt so good to help a first time RVer! I am a logger coming home from work when I saw a RVer with a flat tire. So I Was able to give the use of a jack to change his spare tire and it only had a 20 lbs of air and aired it up. It felt good to help!

November of 2015 I10 40 to 60 mph wind gust broke the front awning spring and let the front of awning to come away from the side of motorhome about 2 to 3 feet get slowed and off to the side of the road survey situation and then form a plan to secure it after getting it rolled back in to motorhome and then wired it solid with coat hangers. LOL aways carry wire of some kind. The moral of this story while climbing up and down on roof and working in very adverse conditions the number of motorhomes campers tt and 5ers that went bye not even slowing down was a very big surprise to me. I always try to help others when needed. I was very surprised that not even one would slow down or stop to see if help was needed.

I can not tell you how many times I've helped change tires or other assistance on the side of the road.. once I even inflated an RVer's tire.

yes, Does give you a good feeling to help others.. No question about it.

Oh, and on the other side of the picture... As an RVer, I have also helped at least one Semi Driver.. We used my phone to call his boss, and a Tow Truck I knew of in the area. The Mechanic (He drives his own truck) borrowed my flashlight to inspect the truck. All worked out very well (Mechanic was coming from another non-tow truck on-site repair I happend to know he was on,, Long night for him).
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Whenever I see an RV pulled over on the road, going the same direction they are going, I stop and offer assistance, regardless if I am towing my camper or not. I've assisted a few on the road over the years. When they offer $$$ for my help, I always refuse and ask instead of giving me $$$, I have them agree that if they see another RV on the side of the road, to lend them a hand ... it might just be me!

Last week on a return trip, I noticed an RV pulled over on the interstate. There was an older couple standing there watching, while a young man from pickup parked behind them changed their tire.

I pulled off the interstate about 50 miles later. As I pulled up to stop sign on off ramp, with no traffic behind, I moved to the side, put flashers on, jumped out to quickly check contents in truck bed. Yup, another young man in a pickup pulled up beside me, asked if I needed any help. I thanked him for asking. It feels good to know, there are good folks out there, that are willing to help.

I think just helping someone on the forum, makes us feel good. It is nice to have a forum to ask things, or give help to someone asking.

It never hurts and always make me feel good to help someone. and sometimes it even
become my turn to get help. I had a flat in Thomasville Ga. at wally world parking lot the morning I was released from the Hosp. with upper back operation, it was raining and I was crawling around under the truck trying to get the spare out. a young couple stopped, the young man asked if I needed help and I naturally said yes, he told me that his wife had noticed the old man probably needed help. After the tire change I tried to give him money but he replied "no my wife would kill me" I stuffed $10.00 in his pocket anyway and thanked him.

One of our handiest "tools" we carry (and keep charged up) is our jump start. DH has helped many by jumping their toads. When they arrive at the camp, the toad is dead and they need help to get it started and off the back of the motorhome.

I started helping folks on the road recently. I saw a guy pulled over thought he had a flat was ready to bust out my 3 ton floor jack and getting it going but he was just letting the engine cool.

Indeed! Seems like every time I'm in the campground I get to help a neighbor with something. Usually it's helping them understand the hookups or lending a tool. It's nice to be able to help.
