I heard spraying it with WD 40 helps

I'm in the "float a few squares of TP on the water" group.

A "wrapped package" goes neatly down the tube.

I use the "timing method". Just open the flush valve at the exact right time and there will be no hanging around.

Some foot pedal flushes work like that. Others, pressing down slightly will fill the bowl, pressing down some more opens the valve. With a bowl full of water, at most, it might need a quick wipedown.

We just add water similar to our toilet at home and experience very little stucco issues, haven't even used a toilet brush going on 6 years.

If you have a foot pedal to flush, lifting UP on the pedal with your toe fills the bowl. Raise water level to similar height as home commode and no issues. Plus, extra water helps at dump time.

Don't know of any way to prevent that from happening. Good old stiff toilet brush is about the only answer!

We have a rule in our camper .. you use it ... you brush it!

Just fill it with water before use. I wouldn't use WD-40. If anything try Pam food spray.
I think water is the best and easiest choice.

Raise the toilet seat just before sitting down.........no more stucco job!
Just kidding"""""""" try Armor-all.
I use it also on the shower door to keep from getting hard water stains. (Be sure to put some type of cover on the bottom of the shower) ie; newspaper or old towel.
