How/where do you carry your satellite dish?

I guess we could just carry it on the bed but.....

We do not have a back bumper so that option is out. How strong is the ladder attachment; does anyone carry their dish there and, if so, have you had any problems?

Bumpyroad, you USED to carry it on your ladder; where do you carry it now or are you no longer on the road?

no ladder on my "new" TT. but I hung it upside down with the LNB? post on the RV side of the ladder with the dish on the outside of the ladder. no need to take anything apart.

I just sawed the LNB arm off and put a hinge on in so it now folds up into the dish. Makes all the difference in the world as for a compact package. I don't use a tripod, just a piece of pipe with a point that I drive into the ground and slip the dish onto it. Not much to store with that setup.

I modified my Dish 1000.4 hardware so it only takes a minute or two to separate the reflector from the arm and mount assembly. The two pieces store easily in a bin along with the collapsed tripod.

I used to hang my dish on my ladder. hooked it over the step and used a large U shaped bike lock to padlock it on.

I took a regular sat antenna and drilled out the rivets on the LNB arm and replaced them with regular bolts and wing nuts so that it will fold up. When is is "flattened" you have more storage options.

I bought a Folding LNB arm kit from www.tv4rv.com which makes the amount of space needed to store my dish minimal. It will fit into many storage compartments, also.

We did have one that would disassemble, but we just got a new one and we carry it on the master bed. It's out of the way and I know DH is going to get it hooked up before the bed is ever used!!!

A basic dish and tripod is in the front storage compartment. But rarely used.
