Bring on the snow & cold - does a wonderful job of keeping the tourists away
The Eastern side Rocky Mountain front got 6" today and expecting another several inches tomorrow. The Toursits have all gone or are headed home - It's time to get out and go fishing and RVing

I was thinking about sitting out on the deck this fine SUMMER afternoon but decided to service the snowblower instead!

Next wave is tonight and tomorrow then it warms up. Shorts and tank tops by the weekend. Saying that with what we got yesterday and if we do get what they say tonite it will smash the monthly snow record for September and close to double it on the new record.

Sitting in St Mary's, Mt right now...Tuesday morning and it has been trying to snow all night. The NOAA website suggests the next couple 3 days will have a winter type storm all over this area.

Turned out to be a record snowfall ever for yesterday here in Calgary. 11.8 cm officially and now they have a snowfall warning up for later today saying another 10-15 cm and 20 cm in some areas. So much for my camping in my 2 weeks holidays I am having right now.

I like snow, I really have no idea why people choose to live here if they don't. Then they just complain about the snow... just move already.

I guess I'm made of different stuff, I would only go farther north. I hate the heat and too many people as you go south.

Michigan is surounded on six sides (2 peninsulas) by melted glacier and that happened BEFORE Henry Ford got here. ๐Ÿ™‚

8 to 11 mpg for just about any rig in here and we are talking global warming? ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm not picking on you but the belief in GW and and riding off in an RV dont seem to go together. Sorry if you were joking but I didn't see a smiley.

yup I was joking ๐Ÿ™‚

Here's another one for you: The glaciers that covered Canada and much of the northern USA at one time are still receding. Someone should be taxed so we can put them back.

I am literally sitting in my man cave, aka "the box" looking at a rock we found about 60 miles north of us that has a small pothole in it from the receding glaciers. That was a mere 12,000 years ago! ๐Ÿ™‚ IMHO, follow the money to find the cause of "climate change."

Late Sept my finger tips turn white and the old damaged frostbite starts. RV is already packed by then and just waiting. Being foreigners we can only stay 182 days..(we bring our own money and don't want a job)
so we try and leave late so we can have less snow when we come back in April.
-35C, frozen broken sewer lines and water pipes are not my idea of retirement. Lolling about in Florida is more to my liking.
OK, not being a foreigner, (at least not here), why is this ? :h

OMG the news that snow is on the way makes me sick. Oh, no it doesn't I forgot, we're leaving in early November for 7 months this year, wife retired 2 weeks ago tomorrow. WHEW!! I was scared for a minute. It's our first time being away from winter. It sure makes fall a lot more enjoyable knowing that we don't have to stomach winter that follows.
