NC / SC beaches

There are literally millions of RVers camping at this moment on SC, and NC beaches. There was a shark attack near the Rodanth KOA today around 4 PM. There was a shark attack yesterday near Avon NC. In fact in the past week there have been 5 (FIVE - V) shark attacks on the NC, and SC coast. In knee deep water, saw a pic of one yesterday in a tidal pool with sand on both sides of it.

I know the water looks great, It is cool, and fun to ride the waves. But for some reason this year. You are NOT alone. Use some common sense. Do not feed the fish. Stay out of the water.

WHY is it happening this year? Don't have a clue. It just is. Stay out of their way.

Me? They gonna have to learn to walk to get me. Toe deep is all I'm getting. I won't even wade thru the swash between PirateLand, and Lakewood

We were swimming at hunting island just the day before the recent attack. In myrtle beach now, and probably not going in past our ankles.

Great! now you tell me. me and my son walked through there twice!!! never did think about sharks in there.
Yes there seems to be a lot more shark attacks this year.

This is unusual but more of a media explosion than anything. When considering the numbers, I'd think you're still far more at danger of getting hit by a teenager texting while driving on your way to the beach versus getting bit by a shark. But nobody says they're gonna keep their toes off the roads this week. ๐Ÿ˜„


Hmm 6 in a week, as opposed to a former high of 7 in a year. You might like the odds. But I know of 6 people who played the odds and lost this week.

Something has changed. They have always been there, But this year. Something is either drawing them in, or pushing them in. If you want to line up to be the next hot lunch. go ahead
