PA is a beautiful state. The only thing I don't like is I never know the speed limits.
Go thru a town, posted at 25 MPH reach the outskirts posted at 45. 45 is the last sign you see. 6 0r 7 miles later, is it still 45 or 55.
What is the acceptable speed on a two lane state highway.
NY spends a whole lot more money on roads signs and very rarely is there any question about the limit.
If you drive in NY 57 to 62 is acceptable, any faster you are on your own.

PA will soon have the nation's best highways. We will soon have the nation's highest fuel tax with a 28 cent increase. This will guarantee we will have the best roads, right??

PA 476 north of Plymouth Meeting is perhaps the most wretched piece of pavement I have ever driven. There has never been a time I have driven it (from age 16 to 55) that there was not significant construction or re-construction underway. Love the special 'no shoulder' areas for miles and miles.

Stephanie should come up to NYS and buy a case of Pepsi or Coke. Just the fact that NYS is a bottle deposit state adds a $1 to the case of the soda over what it is priced in Pennsylvania, and that is before the deposit. Don't worry Stephanie, the refineries will pass the cost along, just like the grocery stores up here do.
Why is Pa raising fuel taxes? I thought the money from gas fracking was going to save the state!
