Running errands w/grand boys, headed to lunch and a movie, stopped for gas, no diesel right after I put a gallon of gas in my diesel. Called bob Moore ford 405-616-3673 talked to Jeff, service advisor, this was around 10:40. Told me to bring it on down and they would get someone right on it. Got there about 11:40 and drove away a happy camper at 15:05. They are located at 8948 S. I-35 Service Road, exit 120. Hope you never need them but there is the info.

Weird story......
And for those with the dual tank theory, unless the Ford was like an 80s IDI diesel, it doesn't have dual tanks. No mfg has had dual tank pickups in a long time.

And fwiw, the poor mans anti gel for diesel that is t blended is a gallon of gas in a full tank.not that I'd necessarily reccomend it on today's high pressure injection systems.

No, I actually did it, put a gallon of gas actually 0.8 gal. I had 32 gal of diesel in it already, was just topping off before leaving tomorrow, then I went ahead and filled it the rest of the way with diesel, I actually thought I might just drive with the gas but got cold feet. Point was they were good folks to deal with went out of their way to get me going, they were the third dealership I called.

How about 'rest of story'?

Did you have it TOWED to dealer?

What if anything did dealer actually do?

How much did that tow/dealer fox cost?

How could dealer be 'good folks' when it wasn't necessary to do anything but fill tank with diesel, diluting that little bit of gas and then drive on??
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I would have filled the tank the rest of the way with diesel and carried on. One gallon of gas in 30+ gallons of diesel isn't going to do squat. Happens to a truck or two every year in my fleet. I think the shop kind of screwed you not telling you to just fill the tank with diesel and keep it full for the next couple hundred miles or so.

I did the same as OP, 3 years ago. First contacted Duramax Diesel Forum and received same advice as Muddydogs gives. Called GMC dealership, their diesel mechanic said good advise. Also said add alittle extra diesel additive for next couple of tanks. Never had a problem.

Maybe the OP drove on the tank that just had the diesel on one side while the gas stayed on the other? :B

2015 Eclipse Iconic Toy Hauler made by Eclipse Manufacturing which is a pile of junk. If you want to know more just ask and I'll tell you about cracked frames, loose tin, walls falling off, bad holding tanks and very poor customer service.

There's some more to this . Maybe had duel tanks? Gal. in how much diesel? Did take 3 hrs to repair and didn't say how much. Ford filters cost plenty.

My guess is that he had it towed - that's why he was happy it only took an hour.

Maybe we are not understanding your post.
Seriously, they told you to drive your diesel with gasoline in the tank?

And it took you about an hour to get to their garage?

What did they do to correct the problem? Was there any damage to the engine or sensors?

I always thought that was taboo?
