Residential Refrigerator

I just had a Samsung RF18 refrigerator installed. Nice piece of equipment but I can't find an on/off switch. I want to turn it off to wash the interior before loading it up. The owner's manual does not mention a way to turn it off so I've pulled the plug in the interim.

Yup, Samsung left that off.. They assume you won't ever want to turn it off.

Unplug, or turn off the circuit breaker.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Once the Samsung is installed, it is very hard if not impossible, to get to the back and unplug it, if the old outside vents were closed. This really should not be that hard. If you must turn it off, just turn off the circuit breaker that went to the old fridge.

The Maytag in our MH has an on/off switch. use it all the time when it's in storage and I don't want it running while I'm doing stuff inside

..........but the OP is asking about a Samsung...:R

Unplug it. I've never seen a refrigerator with an on/off switch.

But it's definitely not necessary to unplug it to wash down the inside. I've never done that, and routinely wash out my fridge about once a month.

Our residential refrigerator is turned off by setting the temperature to the highest setting. This does not turn off the lights, when the door is opened. To do that, one has to remove the little man, whose job it is to turn the light on and off. Alternately, we can turn off the inverter.
