RVing with an Infant

My wife and I have RV'd for a few years with our three boys. We recently found out that we had a new one on the way. Has anyone had experience RVing with an infant and have any thoughts / recommendations to offer?

We also camped with infants. We purchased a popup the 1st year we were married, added a Porta potty and enjoyed camping raising 4 children. Great times and memories. A Porta crib and backpack for the baby made it much easier.

Both our kids have camping since infants. I can't imagine why not to RV with them. Pack up and have a great time.

We took our first granddaughter(and Mother) to Myrtle Beach for a week when she was 3 days old. All had a great time.

We camped for 10 days in a popup with our DD when she was 3 months old and then 3 years later we were camping in a hybrid with our next 3 month old DD. They still love the lifestyle and we fulltime during summer break and the month of May. It's wonderful.

We had a Pack'n'Play that we used for both of them and bathed them in the kitchen sink or a big pot.

I remember reading about a couple who were tent camping near Mt. St. Helens when it blew and had to be rescued. Seems they had a couple of wee ones with them tent camping.

My point? There isn't one, just something I remember. I guess it would be something for them to talk about when they were older, eh? You never know what kind of memories you'll be making.

WE packed up our grand daughter when she was about 2 months old and took her from SC to MO. Mom had to go back to work and I needed to see my elderly parents. My folks loved seeing a great grand and we loved having the experience also.

I agree. Go for it. When our youngest was just about 1/2 year old, we took along a Graco porta-pack and set it up in our very small Wilderness trailer to Southern Illinois to the Hot Air Balloon festival. We also had our 4 year old daughter along. So 4 of us and the Graco portacrib in the trailer. It was very hot (we had no air conditioning unit) so we went out to Walmart and bought a couple of fans. The cicadas were in full voice (like a roar). We had a great time, the 4 year old LOVED the hot air balloons, especially the shaped ones, and the baby did just fine.

We did it... First trip our oldest was 3 weeks old. He didn't know difference between the TT and home. He slept as soundly in his car seat as he did in the crib. Kids are 15 months apart. We traveled with them all the time. The result, our kids could make themselves comfortable anywhere and knew how to play and entertain themselves and us. Numerous experiences made them well rounded, friendly, adaptable, resilient adults. Have fun! And congratulations!!!

What a great time to break them in early!!!!
You can change a diaper in an RV as easy as at home.
Whats the problem?
