Bought one years ago, never failed and I can use it to read in Fahrenheit or Celsius, just do not point it at peoples eyes or aircraft these suckers have pretty powerful lasers.

I have a Harbor Freight one that I paid about $30 years ago that I use often. However, I have only one and have to remember to put it in the TT when we travel. Having a second one in the house means I can keep the HF one in the trailer.

They are much more accurate than that, probably within +-5f.

Thanks for posting... I've looked at them before but never bought. The specs say that it is accurate +/- 36 degrees Fahrenheit... that seems really inaccurate to me. Is that about what you can expect from these things?
