Glamping??? As a woman I know some would think that I would find this new terminology "cute". Seriously every time I read the word glamping... glamper, I want to punch someone in the face. That is the DUMBEST, dorkiest, just down right most awful term for camping that anyone has ever come up with. I just had to post to find out why? Why would anyone refer to it as that? Who invented the term? Does it make you cringe as much as it make me cringe? Sorry, had to vent.

Google Glamping Trailers and you will learn all you want to know about glamping. The ladies that do the glamping have a lot of fun with the older model trailers, instead of sending them to the dump they are completely redone from top to bottom, some done by the women and some have help from the other half. They have fun with their projects, and keeps them out of the bars.

At least, that's what we call it in our true-to-the-era '70's trailer! :B

Glamping: a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping: glamping is likely to satisfy any city slicker seeking a little refuge in nature—without foregoing any of life’s luxuries.

A combo of glamour and camping.

this makes me laugh!

I imagine that those who call it glamping are the ones who've slept on the ground in leaky tents with mosquitos dive bombing them all night. not to mention digging a latrine and tying food way up in the trees to keep the varmints out.
when I was a young lady I could only dream of camping with a real bed and bathroom so I can totally see calling this spiffy camper lifestyle glamping!

Glamping. Isn't that where you go in your tag axel 45' $500,000 plus class A that never has a spot of dust on it? Sites are usually concrete & treeless, so that you can get a good satelite signal to watch your 42" outdoor TV?:) Your toad is most likely colour keyed with the coach & you wear coach manufacturers clothing.

When you are in transit from one luxury resort to another you can be found overnighting at Walmart. It is not that you are too cheap to stay at regular CG. At 65' LOA you are too big to go anywhere else.:h

This is exactly what glamping is.

It is a very popular term in my circle. 40s, professionals, weekend warriors who buy brand new high end units and then camp mostly at FHU sites where all the women gets dressed each night with hair and make up done to socialize.

The term doesn't bother me. Sometimes I camp with the campers and sometimes I glamp with the glampers.

you can call me a glamper if it means I can have a Jacuzzi like that!
executive is it yours and does it pack up to travel with you? I cant tell if it's an inflatable or not, and we've been thinking of one.

to qualify for " glamping " around these parts ;
Your camper must have feminine colors , some ruffles , and have some decoration .
just camping in a trailer does not qualify .
