Socket size for the Anode Rod

I just purchased a 1 inch socket to tighten my anode rod. It doesn't fit. Does anyone know what size socket I need?

Most 4 way lug wrenches have an end that fits, if you're ever stuck.

^^^"Doubles as a hammer"? The only other thing it's good for is rounding off the heads of nuts and bolts. 🙂 Comes down to it, it's not even a good hammer.

My anode rod is also a 1-1/16".
