Socket size for the Anode Rod

I just purchased a 1 inch socket to tighten my anode rod. It doesn't fit. Does anyone know what size socket I need?

Most 4 way lug wrenches have an end that fits, if you're ever stuck.

^^^"Doubles as a hammer"? The only other thing it's good for is rounding off the heads of nuts and bolts. ๐Ÿ™‚ Comes down to it, it's not even a good hammer.

My anode rod is also a 1-1/16".

Mine is 1 1/4 inch. I've read some are 1 1/8
