Stranded near Sacramento, can anyone help?

I have been stuck 11 days. A chronic health problem got unexpectedly worse and I am too ill to drive.

I am headed to the central coast, near Pismo, but I could also go north to Oregon as I have people there.

I am hoping to find a couple travelling south or north, and that with one person driving their rig and driving mine, we could caravan to their destination or mine, whichever is closer. My rig is a small van, very easy to drive and in great mechanical shape.

I would be happy to compensate for your time and gas.

Please PM me if this sounds like something you could help with. I am at my wit's end.

Put van in storage.....Fly 'home' to people in Oregon

Get WELL then fly back, get van and continue travels

Being 'home' with folks goes a long way to getting better....even if issue is long term

Staying does NOT bode well for recovery.
You have options..make use of them for your well being.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Thanks starcraft, I replied.

You know, I feel like I have slipped into the twilight zone. Maybe those of you from other parts of the US are used to this, but in the West we do not have natural disasters. The idea that I cannot get home just does not compute. I am used to being able to go where I want, when I want, with limitations just being things like work and money.

Perhaps you should contact authorities and let them know where you are located and that you are unable to relocate should the need arrise.

Maybe they can have someone move you to a safer location for now, at least.

Was due to leave today, but plan fell through when the levee broke and freeway flooded. My driver felt it was too dangerous, and that the upcoming two weeks will be too snowy in the pass. So I am still stuck.

Some people have it worse, of course.

For future reference, I am a member of FMCA. One of the benefits of FMCA is FMCA Assist, it would have resolved the problem Naio was having with getting assistance. It's very similar to Skymed which I have as well (paid way too much for it)

I'm to far to help but hope things work out. Would it be possible to drive in small stages like 50 miles a day then rest?

Some cities have volunteer drivers to drive cancer outpatients to their appointments. Someone doing that might enjoy driving you. I would try contacting locals, perhaps police or high schools to identify a reliable student who would appreciate the job.

Wish I could help. I am just to far away.

Do you belong to any organized religions ? Maybe if you could call a local church you might find someone who is willing to help.
