This is the end of May, Memorial Day weekend, Right?

Well just did a trip check for the drive tomorrow from Portland to Bend, OR.
It really is May, not March right!

I just checking because This is the main highway from Salem, OR to Bend at Tombstone!



This is about 40 farther east.





Glad I haven't removed the chains from the 5er or the TV, and glad I have a 4X4!

We're in northern lower Michigan and it's cold and raining. The temp tonight is supposed to get down to mid-30's and a cold weekend forecast. Many of our reservations for the weekend have cancelled. No hookups here, so most would have no heat.

Well the trip was uneventful, it did snow a bit near the summit, but road was clear. Temp in bend area was 27 degrees. Clear and sunny

May be too late for you this morning, but Santiam Pass has bare pavement. We've had snow here this morning, but it's on and off.....was sticking, but is now melting.

Doug, back here on the Eastern Shore (Delmarva), it's mid-80's, maybe some showers.

Yea, you caught me, been a while since i last made that trip, thought 22 was the worst of the two, and that 20 came out of Salem. Still a fare amount of late Spring snow in the Cascades!

We don't plan any trips to Crater Lake early in the summer. One year we visited on the 4th of July weekend and they had just finished digging out the road around the rim of the crater.

Why would you go over Tombstone pass? That's the long way from Salem. We live in Salem (Keizer) and the normal way is on US22 through Detroit. No snow there. Snow at the Santiam junction. I think Crater Lake is about a July visit this year! Roads leading to it are all packed snow right now.

The Oregon coast is great any time of year.

Man I'm looking forward to some "COOL" days. It's been in the 80's & 90"s up here in Southeastern Michigan. Have to run the A.C. to sleep right. This weekend it's dropping back down to the high 60's.
I was thinking we blew right through Spring and into hot summer.

It is still spring down here in the deep south too. Lows in the 60's each morning with highs in the mid 80's but it will warm up soon. I have always wondered why the English language has no punctuation marks to indicate sarcasm? Interesting isn't it?
