My wife and I don't understand. We are staying at a nice rv park filled with nice rv's. We watched a man get out of his perfictly nice class C and go use the parks public shower. I know everyone is different and I am not judging his action. We just don't get why you would use a public facility when you have your own?

I use the bath house because the TT's water heater is good enough for a Navy shower, but definitely not for a relax-the-muscles and take time to clean everything type of shower.

I am one of those that use the bath house. I like the extra long showers and unlimited hot water. The one in the RV is for my DW's convenience and preference. Guess I never really thought about people wondering about it.

I like to use the park shower because I like long showers and not needing to drain my grey tank every 2 days.

eh, alot of reasons people use bathhouse instead of their rv. if we have no sewer at a state park hubby will volunteer for the bathhouse so me and kiddo can use the 5th. that way the tanks hold out longer.

if overnight stop, even if sewer is available, we might not bother to hook it. we might use the bathhouse.

if we have sewer we all use our rv but every now and then hubby will opt for the bathhouse. heck I haven't even asked him why.

we use the 5th and bathouses in different ways on different trips.

Wow I have to say I am a little shocked that some folks seem to be upset by my question. I was just curious, I wasn't judging anyone. Just wanted to hear other opinions. One of the main reasons we own a RV is to avoid using public facilities. As to why we were watching? We were sitting in our site which was on the path to the bathhouse. There have been several comments that we are odd for watching our neighbours. What kind of a world do you want to live in that people don't smile and say Hi to folks as they walk by?
Not to worry!!! We travel with a couple that will only seldom use the toilet in their 5vr and NEVER will put paper in the toilet. I thought that to be weird when he told me, but to each his own. Enjoy yourself and continue speaking and saying hi and your life will continue to be good. Happy travels.

You mean, Hi have a nice day, and then to your spouse. Look:E he's going to the bath house? It's just different for different people. I don't question you stinking up, and steaming up your RV.

And yes. You may not think so. But you were judging. After all, /He left a perfectly nice class C, and went to a horror of horrors, public restroom.

Not to worry..happens all the time. Most responses were civil and respectful of your question. There are always those who feel it's their duty to jump on any perceived judging and bring you down for it.

You should stop noticing things. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Was he alone or with a family? If with a family maybe they were using the RV shower and he just preferred to use the public one instead of waiting for the water in his 10 gal. heater to reheat. Or he may like lo-o-ong showers which the tiny RV shower may not accommodate. If he just puled in he probably would have had to wait until the heater heated up. Many, many different scenerios but it boils down to "To Each His Own"! Happy RV'ing to everyone. ๐Ÿ™‚

My daughter hates the shower in our MH and it's that sole reason she won't travel with us!:R However it is MY preference to also use the bath houses of the places we stay because I pay for it. DW always prefers to stay where there are full h'ups anyway so that settled that a long time ago. :B

I use my own most of the time, but occassionaly if I want a really long hot shower,,,, but only if they are clean, there is not a line up, and they are private, (with doors)
we do some off season, and me and the little woman will go to one of the more remote shower houses at one of the places we go and have a long hot shower together :W :B (no we don't do it there) just get primed up a little
