Next time you stop at a truck stop for gas go into the truckers section of the store. It's usually tucked out of the way off to to the side or in the back near the showers away from the gas customers section.

You will find everyone of those 12v items for sale on the shelves AND many more other types of useful items for RV'ing. AND at a price much lower than any internet site. :W

I brew my coffee in a Cabelas percolator on the cook top. Don't do that Keruig stuff.

I like my 'Joe' strong.

I happen to have one of their 12 volt blankets and we use it in the camper bunk all the time on chilly nights. works well, draws little amperage.

If that kind of stuff interest you, stop at a Pilot/Flying J and look around, they have 2 or 3 pages of ads for that stuff above the urinals alone,,,,, Dont know what they give the ladies to read.

Ads for novels that have covers of tattooed Charles Atlas types, with alligator abs? Next to the paperback book ads are enticing pictures of chocolate covered strawberry Bon Bons?

RoadPro is the brand sold I believe at Pilot/FlyingJ but may be other major Truck Plaza places.

I have used a few of their products. Seem to be ok.. I would not recommend either way on 'em (Meaning not exceptionally well built nor are they poorly built) .. one item they do have is a replacement insulator and center connector of a single contact base lamp like a 1141 or 1156.. I have a box of 'em for replacement here in the RV.. Now though I'm putting in LED's so the insulator washers last a long long time :).

Yes, but if you want your food heated in a MW it's going to work a lot better at 1200w @ 120v.

Or if you want your coffeemaker to finish making a pot the same day. 😉

some of the 12v "trucker" items work well and can last for a long time.

as for efficiency, from a power consumption standpoint, its more efficient running ANY 12vdc component directly from the batteries than it is running a 120vdc component thru an inverter.. the larger the power draw of the component thru the inverter, the inefficiency increases exponentially..

when a generator, shore power or other charging source is readily available, inefficiency doesnt matter as much.
