Wanting to add a 12 volt TV w/ built in DVD for an upcoming 2 to 3 month trip. Wondering which brands are better. Wanting something between 15 and 19 inches, TC is pre-wired best I can tell.

Best Buys Invicta house brand TVs all run on 12V "wall Wart" adapters.

I have a 28 and a 22 in my Toy Hauler. Work great right off the 12V system.

I have a Jensen 12V. Here is the 19" model:

Jenson 19" On Amazon

I thought the 19" was a little small so I got (if I recall) the 24" model. It plugs into the round 12V cigarette lighter connector. The TV has worked fine. It is only the TV, it does not include a DVD.

I run our color TV through a 12V, 120 watt inverter. Works great, pulls less than 5 amps.

As above, I have an Insignia from bestbuy and a Sony Blu-ray player. Cut off the plugs and wired them direct to a 12v plug. Been using it this way for three years.

I did have it flake out on me one time when the furnace came on but it only did it once and it only affected the blu-ray player.

Go into a store or look on AMAZON. If it has a puck in the power cord like a laptop it is most likely 12 volt.
Just get a 12 volt cord with the proper end..
I have 2 like that one from Walmart and one from BestBuy.

Very cool idea. I never would have thought. I've been looking to replace our old digital that uses 60Watts. We use it for local news.

I got an "Element" tv from walmart, I think it was $99.00. It is 12 volt just like explained above. Works fine, mine is probably the bottom of the line, does not have a dvd player internal, and maybe Walmart has one with the dvd player.
