Well guess it has been awhile since I posted on here. Went to last 12 months and couldn't find my last post.

Finally completed my 1959 Century travel trailer.

If you are interested here is a link to my blog that depicts all the work that went into it.

What did you use to replace the interior panels? Very nice BTW...

Yup,, take the door handle and replace everything behind it.

Beautiful, truly a labor of love.

Congratulations.

Found you on a Google search of "Century Travel Trailers". I just got a 1963 Century. It is painted and after seeing pics of other Centuries I see that it was probably not originally painted, but shiny silver. Actually I think the people I got it from probably just painted it in an effort to fix it up. So eventually we may tackle stripping it. It is in really good shape and doesn't need a total redo but definitely needs some love. It's 18' and has a bathroom in the back which is what I was searching for - a vintage travel trailer with a real bathroom that wasn't too long because I want to pull it behind my '51 Chevy convertible. It doesn't have black or gray tanks which it needs if possible and a few other things like a water heater, possibly new fresh water tank, check the stove and furnace, etc. Hopefully we can find someone in our area (NE Kansas) that knows something about vintage trailers that can help us out. SO excited to get it going and enjoy it!! Love seeing the pics of your journey with yours! It turned out awesome!!!

However, I must say, I kind of liked the original porch light best!

Awesome job!!! The trailer looks great. We're looking for something similar now as a new project.

I was also wondering how the silicone will hold up. http://amzn.to/1HR75MAGeocel Pro Flex RV comes in clear and is a great sealant.

How did you decide where to start?

I basically started at the bottom and worked up. That was probably the hardest part, where to start. That was difficult because there was so much to do, but I just took it a step at a time. The hardest part was the very last part, the polishing.
