2017 Ram Laramie Option

I have been looking at a couple 2017 leftover Ram Laramie's and was wondering why one has switches in the dash for operating heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, and one doesn't. The one that doesn't shows the setting in the picture of the dash screen, but the switches on it are just plain Aux1, Aux2, etc.

Why would that be?

YEP it'a an option that keeps anything added separate from the trucks system and will avoid costly errors!!!

Cummins,
That's the way one truck is like yours. The other has the switches.
I was wondering why they were like that?? Change of design in model year??
Not a change of design. Just a different option package.

If the optional upfitter switches are ordered (separate option or part of a package), the aux1, aux2, etc switches go where the switches are for heated seat, ventilated seat, and heated steering wheel.

It is an option.

If you have the option for aftermarket accessories like I do you dash will look something like this. My HVAC controls are in the touch screen.

If the heated seat and steering wheel control is only in the UConnect, it isn't any big deal. That's how our Challenger is and it's VERY easy to use.
Or if touching a screen twice is too much effort, the voice control will do it for you. (kinda fun sometimes..)

Same thing I think. Snow Chief is the fancy name for snowplow prep?

I will have to go back through the option list to check.

Both trucks I am looking at have the "Snow Plow Prep" option.
One has switches for seats and one has switches that are just "Aux".

Exactly.
Personally I would prefer a "real" switch to turn on and off.

Because 1 has upfitter switches that are installed where the other switches would have been. The other has redundant switches.
