Nice award for the RAM marketers. They didnโ€™t make substantial enough changes to get me back in the market.

Best innovations in my mind go to GM with that 10 speed transmission and that camera that โ€œseesโ€ behind the trailer. Thatโ€™s pretty cool.

Just be sure you don't do like the commercial, and hold up the competition. That camera showed both the Ford and the Dodge wanting to get by, and the GM holding up traffic. LOL

Two manufacturers have new engines which have not yet been vetted, yet this one is anointed. Normally this rotates according to the one with the most improvements compared to past years.
To be frank, this is probably like a wrestling match, the one with the thickest wallet this year wins.

Congratulations to Ram....

I never knew how they pick the truck of the year BEFORE all the trucks actually hits the road? :h

AND.. I am NOT starting that war, as you know, I generally sit out on those discussions... Dad always told me. "SON... There is ans ARSE for every seat"...

kinda surprising with both ford and gm offering new powerplants.

Seems to me that it is a different truck every year. If one was any better than the others there would consistently be repeat winners. Just a way to sell magazines because it creates controversy. The owners of that truck love to brag about it. The owners of the other brands love to complain about it.

Interesting. Usually decided by who has the newest truck revision. For instance when the new Tahoe comes out it will be SUV of the year.

I don't put too much stock in the truck of the year awards especially when they don't test them all and mix midsize trucks with 1500s and HDs.
