I would go with the 7-way BLADE connections since that is the standard for the RV TRAILER WORLD...
The 7-way and 4-way trailer connector and built-in brake controller handles all of my two RV trailer connections and utility trailer connections we use here with my 2010 F150 truck.

Either way is OK electrical wise as long as you know what you need to be using and what will be missing...
