While looking at our pictures from our trip to Acadia last July, we thought we'd share our time there with you.
Our campsite was at Narrows Too Campground.

We dropped the bigfoot, lowered the pressure in the ride rites, adjusted the rancho's and were ready to cruise the park loop road.

We thoroughly enjoyed Acadia!
We'll Definately return when we have more than a weeks time

I second biking the carriage roads. A lot of fun... just remember, if you do a lot of really easy downhill -- eventually you will have to go back uphill!! Don't forget that if you want to "cheat", the park buses are setup to carry bicycles.

Did you see the sunrise at the top of Cadillac Mountain? I think at the very top, you are the first people on the continental United States to see the sunrise. We did it, it is pretty cool (speaking of which, some mornings you will need a blanket!).

Thanks for the pics. I was there years ago with my Dad in a station wagon. I think this park has a twin peak mountain? I will return one day, with something more comfortable than a station wagon.

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed the pics!

Insp1505: When Bigfoot isn't around to help with the awning,we use the crank-out rod provided by Horizon.

Rettrooper We failed to mention our lobster stew and pop-overs at Jordan Pond! We plan to bike the carriage trails next time. Hadley's Point CG looks nice!
starcraft69: My favorite area was seeing all the lobster boats and crew, plenty of that around!

Goin This Away: Glad you enjoyed the pics! Hope you're enjoying your 10.4 as much as we are!

Have a great season!

Great Trip Report and Photos, Thank you very much for posting them. I've only been to Acadia once, back in September of 1990. Your photos are making me yearn to visit again, and soon. i just wish it wasn't so far from the SF Bay Area.

Very nice pics!!! I see you like the carraige roads. I love the 5th picture. I was standing at the same place just 25 days ago. Bubble Pond I believe. You can never go wrong visiting Acadia.

I stayed at Mountain View CG and cabins by Schoodic.(Flanders Bay) A very quiet place with great views of Mt Desert Island
Full timing it since July 2012

Do you have to use a ladder to deploy your side awning when the camper is mounted on the truck or are you just really tall? I can't figure out how to deploy mine without a ladder so I just don't use it. Sad to pack around unused equipment but I have even less desire to pack a ladder.

I use Fred's Awning Deployment Service

Has been a favorite of ours for the last 25 years. Have you biked the carriage trails yet? If not, on your next trip rent or bring your bikes and hit the trails (really roads) and stop off at Jordon Pond house for a lunch. We've stayed at Hadley's Point C.G. and now are kids are bringing their children there. Great pics and thanks for posting.

Beautiful pictures, I especially like the sailboats. Thanks for sharing.

Question about your second picture. Do you have to use a ladder to deploy your side awning when the camper is mounted on the truck or are you just really tall? I can't figure out how to deploy mine without a ladder so I just don't use it. Sad to pack around unused equipment but I have even less desire to pack a ladder.
