Accessories for my new Ram

Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll be driving my 3500 SRW Ram I ordered. Now I'm looking at accessories and wondering what others like on theirs? Of course pics are always great.

- Nerf bars: straight or curved? standard or wheel to wheel? 5" or 6"? Already figured on oval over round.

- Mud flaps

- Floor mats

Anything else I'm missing?

Another vote for the AMP bedstep, I love mine. I knew when I bought my Ford that I didn't like their tailgate step because if you have a TT hooked up it's useless.

I'm not familiar with Ram's tailgate setup, but I also installed the Dee Zee tailgate assist which is nice.

Congrats on the new truck!

I wish I had gotten full length step bars. I cannot reach my 5th wheel hitch to pin or unlatch without needing to use the opening in my rims as a step and I am almost 6' tall. Same goes for accessing the anchors in the front of the bed when trying to tie down my quads.

My truck has very nice floor mats with snap out carpet, so no need for the floor mats. Not sure if yours will be equiped the same.

I love my AMP bed step. Makes it easy for even short guys like me to climb into the back of the bed.

Very happy with my aux fuel tank, but I know some aren't into that.

Some sort of a bed cover would be nice for when you don't have the 5er.

Tinted windows

B & W Stow & go hitch for when you need to pull a trailer

I also put on a bright set of back up lights. B&W that go on the receiver draw bar.

Does the power door lock work the lock on the tail gate now? If not, there is a kit for that.

Have fun with the new truck!

My Ram came with the OEM steps and I like them. I have added rear Husky mud guard and the Husky weatherbeater floor mats and have happy with those. I still need to get front mud guards, tint on the front windows, and Line-x.

Another vote for the B&W companion if a hitch is one your list, as well.

I put 5" oval, straight bars on my 3500 srw. Be sure to get ones with solid ends, not ones with plastic caps. I got the stock mud flaps. Look good and easy installation. Good set of seat covers and weather tech liners. I also made a headache rack with tail/turn/brake lights.

I sure like the Weathertech floor matts. On the step bars take a look at the different ways they can be mounted. Some are tucked right up under the cab, but that makes for a bigger step up. Can be nice to have them mounted down a bit to be more effective. Unless you need them to step up and reach into the back of the bed I prefer standard length wheel to wheel. Also think the curved look better on the Ram.

Enjoy your truck!

Mud flaps, yes. Step bars, oval cab length, yes. Aux fuel tank, 100 gallon, side window vent covers, great for rainy days. Seat holster for sidearm, rear seat covers for dogs, front 12000lb winch, shallow mount tool box behind the B&W Companion.
