how often, miles/age, do you change your radiator coolant?
do you have them back flush your radiator also?
mine appears still to be clean but who knows what lurks inside that
radiator...truck is still in great shape and has 59k mile on it, no hard travel or use...would just kinda like input from ya'll....

my old dodger diesel said 5 years or 100K miles.

it was 5 years old, 2005 model, when I got it so coolant and transmission fluids changed.

check your owners manual as an old dodge like mine needs a special coolant.

Same here.
I've heard the older Fords do it much sooner though :W

You know from who? Certainly not from GM engineers. :R

I know that from my owners manual, if you would read the thing, you might learn something. They tend to come in handy with things like this. About the only thing I vary on from it is oil changes and FF changes, because I don't use what comes in it from the factory. Butter me up and grill me for that too.

Hmmmmmmm Funny, I did read mine and my Duramax manual says the same as THESE GUYS.

Which is the same what THESE GUYS SAY.

I have more sources. Would you like more? All the same as my OP manual. 5/150K

No biggie. More than likely just a misprint in yours. :W

I have the coolant in my Ram changed every three years. I'm not a big believer in any fluids or lubes marketed as "extended life".

I stick to what the "severe service" maintenance schedule says, as outlined in my owner's manual.

Your dealer will test your antifreeze to see if it's still effective. It's probably worth it on diesels but on gassers I'd just change it out once a year or so.

Every year? Really not needed anymore.

Most gassers are now 100,000 miles or 5 years. I do mine every 40,000. I should go by year but don't.

I know for the Duramax's its every 50K miles. I doubt mine has ever been changed, bought used, so thats up on my list of things to do. Make sure you are using the correct coolant as well.
