Thanks to everyone who answered all of my posts this past week.

Picked up my Ram 2500 4x4 Gas this afternoon.

Got the best price (below invoice) and they also agreed to throw in the running boards. We had gone to at least 5 Ram dealers in the area.

Has the 5th wheel/goose neck set up ready, towing mirrors (almost had forgot about that item), 8 ft bed, plow set up (if I ever need that) and back up camera...etc

Traded in my 2005 F250 diesel (6.0) for 12 grand so I was happy with that.

You best park it somewhere else. You'll have a hard time finding it with all that ground cover.

For the capacity question, on 6.4 vs. 6.7 the answer is easy. 250/2500's are typically capped at either 9,900 GVWR or 10,000 GVWR. Diesel weighs more so it eats more into the payload rating. That's why if you want a diesel, you should really consider a 1-ton for payload if your state doesn't have special licensing/insuring requirements for vehicles over 10,000 GVWR. For the 5.7 vs. 6.4, that's Mother Mopar's call.

Congratulations! Nice truck!!

Just looked at the Ram payload charts and noticed the 2014 Ram 2500 CrewCab 4x4 longbox Tradesman 6.4 has almost a 1,000 lbs. more payload capacity (3070) than the 5.7 (2130) and 6.7 (2180). Wonder why?
It is the rear axle. The rear axle spring perchs are cast iron. There is almost no tube to the axle. The coil springs are a higher rate also.

Thanks for the explanation.

Still gotta wonder why Ram felt the 6.4 should have the extra 900++ lbs. of payload vs. the 5.7 gasser and 6.7 diesel.

Very surprised this extra payload capacity wasn't mentioned in this thread 5.7 vs 6.4. Maybe I missed it.

Nice truck and probably a good move going with a RAM gas truck.

BTW... Your title should have said "Bought My Ram 2500 6.4" :W

Chime in with your fuel mileage once you get some average numbers.

6.7 or 6.4L Hemi?

6.4 Hemi. I didn't want to go the diesel route again. I did not use it enough to warrant the expense.
