Bought our first RV

The wife and I bought our first RV. We went new as we couldn't find any used ones we liked. We ended up getting a Keystone Hideout 22RBWE which kind of surprised me as the wife had been leaning towards a slider.

We should pick it up next weekend, looking forward to our first trip with the dogs.

Congrats on the new trailer! We are a couple years into our first one and still loving it. Keep a notebook and pen handy to write down all the things you forget. I kept a journal for a week in the house of what things I used on a daily basis and then just added in "camp fire, fishing and plumbing" items as well. I will say our first trip was 4 hours away, but we were only 20 minutes from a Fred Meyer and Walmart, so some of the not so critical things we forgot were easy to purchase.

Congratulations. I recommend you camp in your driveway the first time. That way you get the hang of it and decide what you do and do not want to take along. Then plan the first couple of trips close to home to get all the bugs worked out.

Now there is no turning back.

From tent camping with our children, we graduated to a small pop up once they were all grown and gone.
We had a for a few years, and when I retired decided to take a trip to Alaska. We heard that a pop up wouldn't be too good there and just prior to the trip we bought a 19 foot TT complete with a full bath room and queen bed.
We loved it and used it for six years. My wife loves to knit, and there was just not enough room at the dinette, so we traded it in for a 25 footer that had a sofa that gave her more room.
I vowed I would never buy or pull anything longer.

Two years ago we bought a RV lot in a campground on Key Largo, and we just bought a new 37 foot one which will be installed there permanently for our snow birding.
We kept the 25 footer for various week long camping trips

So watch out this might not be the end for you

Our first TT was a 21' - 15 yrs ago. Loved it. Double bed, a bunk for our son, dinette. Next TT was 27' with pop-out & a couch. Most recent is new & a bit longer: has all of that + 2 comfy recliners & a picture window. Just keeps getting better.

Congratulations on your purchase. Enjoy our SP's. Our favorites: Wenatchee Confluence, Ft. Ebey on Whidbey, Riverside In Spokane, Millersyvania, Hellsgate in Lewiston.

We also live in Washington State above Wenatchee and have a 22ft trailer. We camp a lot and find that it sure is easier having a smaller trailer. I retired with a disability and find that the State Parks give me half price. They have some nice parks in the system. Feel free to message me if you want to talk experiences.

Yup, northwest as in Washington state. I think it is a good size for us, wouldn't want to go bigger at all. Should work for camping for us, including dry camping.

If you're "Northwest" like NW in the US...perfect size for how we like to camp. Couple years ago, when we retired we got a 30 footer to snowbird in. Some of our tiny out of the way places, (that we really like) we no longer can fit into.
