😞 As of today, I am no longer a truck owner. I will keep it as my pic to cry over when I log in. For the record, it is as a result of a divorce. Child support payments are more of a priority than truck payments. I am now the (not so proud) owner of a 2002 Chevy Malibu (with 59,000 miles on it) that I picked up. No payments on that one, and it is very cheap to operate and drives just fine.

I'll be tenting it for a few years.....

On a positive note, although I downgraded vehicles, I upgraded companions. My new gal is beautiful, kind and makes me happier than any vehicle could. So - no stress! 🙂

They do not want to share or come second.

Girlfriends come later.......even if this is the 'one'

Really sorry to hear. You're a pioneer in the diesel to gas conversion and I followed your posts a lot. I'm a pioneer in your divorce situation and made the same priorities with my kids. A binding tie with us is camping and each kid now has complete gear to handle things for a week or more. Twin daughter sleeps in a hammock, 2 boys have cots.

(My opinion)
Enjoy the girlfriend life and think about it big time before getting married again. The more you try it, the divorce rate increases.

When you break that down by number of marriages:

41 percent of first marriages end in divorce.
60 percent of second marriages end in divorce.
73 percent of third marriages end in divorce.

And don't think you have to have a girlfriend to show off to the ex-wife. Heck, I enjoyed going a few months without one. No one to cater to but my kid. After a couple of tries, I have the perfect girlfriend now.

The older you get, the more you will realize having an expensive car or truck to impress someone is silly. I am debt free and love it not having payments!
