Grey Water Tank isn't draining....

I am sure I have a grease plug in the small bore drain that comes off tank and ties into the 3" from Black Water tank.

What is the best method you have found to get it flowing again?

On a wild guess, our wild cat had trouble draining the black tank, after many problems and frustration, we found that when they cut the holes in the tank they left the plug in the tank and it floated in the tank and obstructed the flow when draining.
Just something to check

Thanks, guys. a lot of great ideas. I think I have an attack plan.

As far as the grease, the camper is 8 years old and my wife isn't real good at eliminating grease or food particles before rinsing down the drain. I think the slide seems to working but that is possible too.

Thanks, again for the great advice.

I've heard that dissolving a box of baking soda into a gallon of hot water, pouring it down the sink, and leaving it overnight can help. It's cheap and worth a try at least.

Agree, hard to believe any grey water tank system could be totally plugged from any content. :h Nonetheless, you might try some Walex Elemonate and/or Walex Commando in your tank to see if that helps relieve the tank's "constipation". :W

Do you know the tank is full or are you going by the gauge?

Here's an easy way, buy a Hydroflush by Valterra or similar 3" fitting, attach you three in hose and connect to dump inlet. Open the flush valve and run a plumbers snake or flexible wand up through the water hose fitting to the blockage. You can also attach a water hose to the Hydroflush fitting and turn on the water.

Good luck and let us know what you did and did it solve the problem.

This^^ with the option of hooking a hose up to your outside shower connection and flushing with hot water to melt the grease.

1. I would do this at a dump station.

2. It is also possible for the gate on the valve to be jammed or broken

3. If it is a blockage and the valve is working (sliding) ,
I would use an old/cheap sewer hose and poke a small hole in it close the valve where you could install a snake. This way the contents will flow thru the hose into the septic system and not all over you or the friend you really don't like, who you asked to do this for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰
