Capt. Don,

LOL....

Truck Test

What was the point of this video Tory? Funny part was at 7:08 the off camber test. He ran the Ram through it in two wheel drive without issue, but the Dundra he had in four wheel drive! Go to the video at 7:08 and watch the front wheel start to spin and then they pan out so as to hide it. For me that's Ram's win right there!

Having had off road trucks/SUV's the word high speed never crossed my mind. But then I had to buy my trucks and pay for any and all repairs myself. Unlike these clowns that get trucks given to them to beat on. If someone was giving me a truck to test then it would be a different story I'm sure.

As for his comment that the Raptor is at the top of the bar LOL! I can find as many so called experts saying the Rebel is tops as you can for the Raptor. It's all about what you want and for be I prefer my trucks not bending in half.....thank you very much!

And $75-$85k (Cdn) for a half ton??

LOL....sitting in front of local GMC dealer. 18 GMC Sierra 4X4, regular cab, shortbed, SLT/All Terrain trim.........sticker just shy of $54K (US)! WTF?

A few months back an Ohio dealer would have sold me an 18 F350 SRW CC Lariat for $64K in real dollars, straight deal no trade. If it would of had the 8' bed probably would have defected from GMC.
Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

I like it way better than the boxy 50 square feet of chrome front end they have going on in the current body style.

All I buy is off lease vehicles. Let the original buyer take the depreciation hit....

I was going to do that when I bought my current truck. With all the rebates and incentives, I got it for virtually the same or slightly more than the newer used trucks I was looking at. And with that I have 0 miles, full warranty, and a newer truck which after 8-10 years (about how long I'll hang on to one) will retain a higher value when I unload it. It's worth it to buy new sometimes

We just did that for our F-150 (which isn't used for towing other than occasionally a utility trailer, commence the pearl clutching). Still was around 40k... 2015 with 33kish miles.

Didn’t watch the video but the write up was pretty useless. First off, not comparing apples to apples. No mention of important towing specs such as payload, tire and axle ratings. And $75-$85k (Cdn) for a half ton?? You can have a loaded 1ton from any of the three for much less than that.

You can but do you know how many half ton Platinum F150's I see on my drive into Toronto? Lots would be an understatement. They are not for towing they are for showing off to the neighbours, picking up the kids at hockey and getting groceries. The vast majority will NEVER even see themselves coming close to GVWR.

I know half a dozen people who own half tons who do not even know what size engine is in their trucks. They don't care and most are leased.

They spelled "wit" wrong.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.
