I'm worried about pickup box height of my new TV

I got a new towing vehicle recently, it's a 2014 Ram 2500 regular cab long box. Without thinking I got a leveling kit installed, it raises the front 2.5" and the back 1". I'm a little worried I won't be able to tow my 5th wheel now (1994 Nomad in sig). I did some measuring today, the top of my pickup box is 60" and the bottom of my camper is 64" with the legs extended.

The 5th wheel hitch I going to have installed is a Curt Q16. I don't know if it raises or not. I don't have much more information to provide at this point. Do you think I will be alright? Is there anything I can do?

It's not critical at this point as I live in the camper full time, but I will need to move it sooner or later.

We ran into this issue when we traded trucks. We had a 2006 2500HD 4x4 and traded for the 2009 3500HD 4x4 DRW. The dealer installed the hitch and bed liner into the new truck but we never even thought about bed rail height! Well, 140,000 miles later we do have a fee dings in the bed rails from the pin box. Turning real tigh will allow for the pin box to get into the rails and a few times the back of the bed has touched the under side of the camper but no damage.
We will be trading for a new trailer and new truck soon and this will be checked into.

I would say the new air rear suspension of the RAM Dually will be perfect for you.

Why do you know that is the answer for a high rear end of any truck?

Not saying you are wrong just how do you know this is the way it will work. If this is true the answer seems like no air is needed.

Hope it is the real deal for those that need or what it.

I wasn't being rude. You chose to interpret it that way.

I was looking for options OTHER than lowering the truck, yet people kept on posting "get rid of the lift kit".

Taking the leveling kit off will be my last resort.

Removing the leveling kit is not going to happen. Even at stock height the truck is still going to be tall. Put this option out of your mind if you want to try and help me.

I'm going to ask around about getting the axles flipped, I see no other options, yet.

I would find a good welder and look at flipping the axles. I have towed with many lifted trucks and never had any of the horror stories happen to me. For that mild of a lift, it won't have any major effect on the towing ability of the truck.

Good luck! My '14 Ram 3500 has me 7" pin high, rear trailer axle is carrying 1,060 pounds more than the front axle. I'm going to try 2" blocks on the trailer and doing a "reverse level" on my truck, dropping the back end about 1 1/2" inches. And that will still leave me 3 1/2 inches pin high.

Yeah I rarely tow this 5er. It's been my home for the last 15 months. I didn't know this minor bump in height would be an issue, or I wouldn't of have it done.

I'm always confused by people who do mods to their TV's that aren't towing friendly like lifts and big wheels. I guess if you rarely tow with it it might make some sense.
