TMN,
Yes you need to attend the Texas State Fair at least once. I think you'll be impressed.
The truck manufacturers now use this event to announce their new or improved model trucks since Texas :C is the truck capital of the US.

Honestly there is ALWAYS going to be points of contention, personal favoritism and corporate greed in any article/review/commercial - plain and simple...
Drive them all and buy for looks/comfort/features and personal preference is my opinion.

NC,
Just remember '14 models are on the lot's now, and Ford announced their '15 models at the Texas State Fair will be out early next year so it won't be long for the Ford '15 models to be on dealers lots.
The Texas State fair is the biggest truck advertising opportunity in the states (and probably the world). This advertising is no different than when Fred Diaz was reporting the '13 RAM's in Sept '12 was going to be class leading.

Hey Fish
Ford got it's clock cleaned - live with it - talking about 2015 is stupid.
Ford makes some damned good trucks - but not always the best - and sometimes they get beat. For now RAM is the best HD truck.
Flash,
Just addressing all the non sense and drama.

It would be interesting to know how much weight those trucks were hauling during that test and what direction (E or W) they were headed.

The Ford test with the 2015 is the most laughable one of any of them so far.
They tested a truck that is not in production, without stating what the power numbers are against 2013 models.
That 2015 may never make it to production. At least not at the power levels it demonstrated in the "test".
It's like running a chipped truck against stock trucks without telling anyone, then when it's production time, take the chip out so it will live and let everyone think it's the same as the truck that did so well in the tests.

"The No Spin Zone" :R I doubt it, though I could be wrong that you and Bill O'Reilly have much in common....now if you do, then WE have a lot in common...and I find that TRULY hard to believe.
Never have paid much attention to the TX state fair, or any other for that matter or all the advertising hoopla..figure I could make up my own mind without all the hype....Never paid any attention to the Fred Diaz thing until someone put a link to it and I found it rather boring....sort of, "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality....Chevy and Ram I know about...Ford, not so much..I know what I own, I know what it does "for me" and if I'm happy....that's great....I'm one of those who really doesn't give a flying flip what others think about me or my opinions......to me all the advertisements are just "blah, blah, blah"...other than having people like us fighting amongst ourselves over childish brand loyal things, the manufacturers, like our government, could care less about us...just as long as we buy into their products they'll do fine while we continue to argue and be at each others throat, just like on the playground back in grade school...we're really good at that in here...including me....I've never learned to just shut up and walk away...too stupid I guess.
..so announcing 2015's in Oct. of 2013 is no different than announcing 2013's in Sept. of 2012.......:h........er. ok..
now THAT's MY "no spin zone"...
