Looked at new F450 at our State Fair

I have a 2011 F350 I bought new. Went to the state fair last Thursday and Ford had a new F450 on display. Same color as mine. Sticker price was 72 and change. It has a built in tire pressure monitor that mine doesn't have. Told my wife I needed to trade. She just laughed. She just doesn't understand how much value there is in a brand new built in Tire pressure monitor.

Who wants to go 80 mph with an RV in tow? Makes no sense.

Hell, my old mans 08 F450 I don't think you could get to 80mph.

Stupid 4.88 gears. 😞 4:30s would have been fine.

Some reason i thought it was 87MPG.

Anyways my cruise control on my Ram 3500 will not go above 85MPG 😞 (Utah and ID have 80 zones) This is for not towing or hauling. If I tow I stay under 70 no matter what.

Yeah, I remember the old MPH Speed governor on the pre 2010 F-450's. People didn't understand that the commercial treads on those 19.5 rims are not meant to go much above 80. That's why they were speed limited. Good to see the F-450 back to being an actual 450 with the wider front axle and tighter turning radius that used to distinguish it before it was watered down due to customer complaints of not being able to go faster than its speed limiter.

She doesn't understand that you have to buy the rest of the truck to get the built in tire pressure monitor?

If you don't mind a utility or flat bed, the chassis cab version F450 is priced better even with the cost of the upfit.

Yeah they are nice looking with nice options but to have to go to 450 for the DRW and that sticker price is a shocker. They did go back to 19.5 on them.

You can still get a DRW F350. And you do not need to get every option on the F450. A regular xlt stickers in the low to mid $50's.
