All this to say farewell. I will miss hanging out on rv.net talking about my favorite hobby.

so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

I knew this day would come, I just didn't think it would be this soon. I was diagnosed with ALS in February 2016, and the average life span of a person with Lou Gehrig's disease is 2 to 5 years but I don't think that I will even make it to two years. Being a quadraplegic has certainly taught me humility. But this old disabled veteran can't afford those fancy class A motorhomes with the built in lift system. My wife won't drive one of those anyway.
The VA has provided us with all kinds of medical equipment, including this eyegaze computer I am using for this post. So however spotty VA medical care is they really come through with equipment and funds.

Well, shoot. I hate it when anyone must face prolonged illness. I think all of us here feel that way about it, probably. In such circumstances I would take comfort in reading the letter to the Romans, chapter 10, verses 9 and 10. May your distresses and discomforts be as minimal as possible, and I hope to eventually see you on the other side in the place where there are no pains or tears.
