My new Ram 3500

Got a new 3500 to replace the '13 2500. We'll eventually be getting a 5th wheel so wanted enough truck. We were lucky enough to find a leftover '15 that, other than the 5th wheel prep, is exactly like we would have ordered.

Nice truck!!!

Looks like driveway is plenty long for a "LONG" box.;)

Thanks for all the positives! This is my 7th new Dodge/Ram since 97, and I've never had a bad one. This one is definitely the most capable I've ever had though!

Sweet, nice truck! Hard to tell from your pic, but is it a short bed? I'm down in North Beach St Augustine right now and there is a gorgeous long bed two tone 3500 parked a couple sites down that has me drooling every time I walk the dogs past!

When its time to go camping for a living, I plan to get a 1 ton long bed and a 30-35' 5er... or so is the plan right now!

Ok, I hope this is working, thanks for the help is it fri. Actually Me Again, you are the reason I already have the parts ready to go to put in the 5th wheel prep. I didn't realize you could add it before your posting months ago, so thanks to you!

The rear box is a V-Box by Creative Industries. The whole top opens allowing up to carry two sets of golf clubs in it. The front box (Truck Trunk) was also made by them. They saddly no longer make them. The Truck Trunk is in it's third truck and the V-Box it's second.

The Truck Trunk had to be modified for the new short bed truck. I cut off 6" down and 12" forward and inverted that piece, and put it back together.

I put a replacement backup cam in the V-Box. You can see the cable and black dot in the middle.

Nice! Is that box in the rear a toolbox or toolbox/fuel tank?

You can add the four pucks yourself. It took me around 4 hours working by myself to install the four pucks and the inbed wiring. The brackets for the pucks are already on the frame. The bed is unbolted on one side at a time with the other side loose. I used a floor jack and board to raise the bed. The bolts that hold the bed on are locklited and do not come out easily. I have no need for a goose neck hitch, so I did not add that.

If it is a long bed, I would suggest a B&W RVK3600 hitch. Mine is a short bed an I am using a Demo 6099 picture frame and B&W RVK3270 Hitch.

The hole saw for the bed is not a standard size(3 3/4") stocked at box stores. I ordered it from Amazon.

Well, I'm having trouble with the pic. I'll figure it out soon, or else it didn't happen, right?

Yep. No picture, you don't have a new truck. That's the rule. ๐Ÿ™‚
